BaGLaDYaRT - aMy MaiSeL - Folk Artist & Illustrator
I started my little BaGLaDYaRT business about 10 years ago. I have always made things for people and when I became a stay at home Mom, I really had the desire to make more! Well, being a young family I had to be very thrifty when it came to buying supplies for my art, so I became resourceful instead! I began painting things on furniture, rocks, old wood (anything I could get my hands on)! The name BaGLaDYaRT came when I started making artdolls from scraps of things around my house. I used paper bags and cardboard for their bodies with a paper mache process. All my "LADIES" had to have a bag too--so they had a bag and were made out of bags - SO..... BagLadyArt was born!
